We started this blog  to push ourselves and our readers to confront the implications of the Christian faith, not just for the social, ethical, and political issues we face, but especially for the ways we think and converse about them.

Who We Are

David Barr (left) and Russell Johnson (right) are Teaching Fellows at the University of Chicago Divinity School. Russell writes and teaches about nonviolence and religious disagreement. David focuses on social and political ethics, particularly environmental issues. They live  in Chicago and most of the material on this site starts out as conversations over board games.
